Triptyqiue

"My father was born in Plumbridge Co Tyrone. Came to Ballinasloe in 1936 married had 2 children and died 1940. I was 5 months old and my mother was only 32 with 2 children The Triptique was a document allowing my mother visit her Mother-in-law in Tyrone and she had to have this document to bring her car into the north. Having the document reminds me of the happy times I had visiting my Grandmother and being aware of the plight of Catholics in the north and the attitude of the RUC. From my schooling I always considered"The North" as a robbed area from Ireland."
