Pope John XXIII & JFK

"My father was a huge follower of Pope John XXIII, and my mother was a great supporter of JFK, as most Irish were when he was in office.I don't know if the two plates were presents, or if my parents bought them, but they always hung in our hall .I bought the bust of JFK for my mother while on a school trip around 1966, I was 9 years old then, and I knew that my mother would be very pleased with it, which she was. It had pride of place in our China cabinet along with all of her little souvenirs, including a piece of Nelson's pillar. The image of JFK and Pope John XXIII was taken from a painting called The Peace Sowers, by Walter Molino, circa 1963.
