Cruit (saddle)

"This is a saddle for a donkeys back. Creels or panniers were hung from the horns and used to transport materials from the fields to the farmyard. This one was used also to transport seaweed (wrack) from the shore to the farm. It has been in the family for generations. Photo shows me on the way to the seashore c1957"
