Medals & Badges

"Various medals, most of which are war medals from the world wars, as well as some from earlier wars in India and Burma. My father was in Dunkirk after joining the British Army for WWII and declared missing. He showed up again in Dun Laoghaire and won numerous medals from his time in the army (Burma Star, Second World War Star, Defense Medal, Second World War Medal). My mother was a nurse in the Queen Alexandria's Nursing Corps, Gladys Evelyn McCann. This is her nursing badge. Medal from W.H. Wheeler from the Indian Wars 1799-1826. Medal from the Khyber Pass in the Indian Wars 1895. There is a medal my mother got from the Clontarf Horticultural Society in 1988 (Millenium Year) for the Overall Winner in the Horticultural Competition."
