The Star Ireland Italia 90 Sticker Collection

"Ahh the memories!!! Ireland's inaugural World Cup and a long hot summer. This collection was produced by The Star newspaper and every Irish kid worth their salt had this in their collection. There was 270 stickers to collect and I completed the quest. I remember my aunt Polly on a sabbatical from the nunhood in America was on a years sabbatical back in Ireland and because she was not over often she spoiled me that summer. She got into the whole World Cup vibe and I remember going into the local newsagents and she bought me a whole box of stickers so that I could complete my collection. She said a decade of the rosary before every match we played in and I was the envy of all my school pals as I was first to complete the collection. She has sadly passed since but I will always remember that summer fondly as she greatly assisted me in reaching the holy grail that was the The Star Ireland Italia 90 Sticker Collections!!!
