Post Office Savings Stamps

"A Post Office Savings Stamp book. I was ten when I got this post office savings stamp book and I remember going into the post office. In order to open a savings account with the post office, you needed a pound. Once a stamp was purchased (for 6 pence) it was placed in the savings stamp book. When the book was full, you had the pound to open the savings account. Each page of the book is filled with words of encouragement for saving- Joseph’s favourite is “Houses, cars, ships and shops are possible only through saving”"
