"This is the Travel Permit Card of a man from Cavan who went over to England. It’s a document of all his work. He was a carpenter. At the time of the war he did a lot of first aid, repairing buildings. When he left Cavan he put up the doors in the Cathedral in Belfast. He worked in Harland and Wolf in Belfast after travelling to several places around Ireland looking for work. He fit the cabins in Harland and Wolf for the troops during the war. "
