Metal Cup made in Jail

"This was made by my father, Eddie Keyes from Bantry in 1921. He was sent to the male prison in Cork but it was overcrowded so he was moved over to women’s prison in Sundays Well. Etched on the cup is prisoner number 194. Member of 1V West Cork Brigade of the old IRA, he was 16 when he was jailed in 1920. The local bishop in Bantry made a decree of excommunication for IRA members."
