"Sara Kealy was seventeen when she walked into Jacob's factory on Easter Monday 1916 and joined the revolution: "We were in on Monday when the Angelus was ringing." This is her 1917 Cumann na mBan badge; in 1917 Sara was collecting money for the destitute dependants of those killed or imprisoned after the Rising - and preparing for a new war. When the War of Independence continued, this intrepid working-class northsider was one of the unacknowledged helpers of Michael Collins' Squad.
