
Medal presented by Lord Killannin to committee members of IOC in 1972.
"This specially created medal by eminent sculptor Brian King, was presented by Lord Killanin to each of his collegues before the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972.The medal was issued to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the National Olympic Committee of Ireland. The front displays a Celtic motif of three spirals surrounded by modern angular relief while the reverse shows the Olympic rings and an inscription in the two 'official' IOC languages Irlande CNO and Ireland NOC."
