"Essentials" left behind after father's death in 1999

"Hair oil /cream, tobacco, pipe cleaners were among the essential items used by my father, Joe Carroll, on a daily basis. During the War years, he was a Captain in the Irish Army at the time of the national "Emergency". Part of the effects of this for not only him ,but many others ,was the habit of hoarding essential items for the "rainy day". After he died, his garden shed was found to contain sizable provisions of tea, sugar, hair cream, tobacco etc...!"
