"I would’ve been between 16 and 17. The centre was in Ballymount, out in South Wicklow area. Humphriestown, Blessington. I took the pledge and I stuck with it. I was playing football and a lot of the lads on our team took it too. I know things have changed but I stayed with it anyway. And now I’m not allowed… I have my ban realtor here beside me."
