Silk Flapper Dress & Rose Gold Arm Bracelet
"My mother bought this dress while on honeymoon to Waymoth – she danced with her husband in the dress and treasured it. She kept the dress in memory of her husband James Jackman, who died of T.B. in 1926. She married her second husband, my father, in 1938 and had me and my sister. We did not know about our mother’s first husband until after her death. She was a very fashionable woman and I remember playing with her fox fur shawl with its glassy eyes that were still attached. This dress was worn with a gold bracelet which was worn on the top of the arm. They are being kept in the family in a cushioned hat box."
