Match Striker and Holder

"A match striker and holder advertising A & R Thwaites & Co. Established A.D 1799. The underside is has the letter M incised and it is stamped J.A Campbell, 64 Royal Avenue, Belfast. My aunt brought this from Belfast to my home in Roscommon before I was born, so it is I think about 100 years old. I only ever saw it used as a door stopper. "
