Business Bill Head
" Kathleen Cosgrove and her sister Rose, my mother's cousins, ran their individual businesses from 29 Mary St Dublin, now the address of Marks and Spencer. Kathleen was almost a one-woman factory producing items for babies, whilst Rose designed, made patterns, and produced ladies wear, including coats. When I think back to that building, totally devoid of health and safety. There amongst( maybe sitting on) the bales of cloth, trimmings etc our cousin Kathleen produced lunch on an electric ring and toasted bread against a fire, along with our tea we enjoyed cakes from the Monument Creamery shop, further along Henry Street. Many photos of my stylish relatives have been posted on Man on the Bridge site. "
