Argenta Artifact

"This is a dual purpose Rosary and Watch Chain made from horsehair on the prison ship Argenta. My father Eugene Mc Grade was interned from 1922 to 1924 on the ship (moored firstly in Belfast Lough and then in Larne Harbour) and in Larne camp. The Sacred Heart on the chain was made from a silver sixpence. I have several other artifacts which he made there but consider this one to be the most unique and interesting."
