Chocolates presented by Lord Mayor of Dublin

"A chocolate box presented to my uncle Jackie in May 1935 by the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Alderman Alfred Byrne and the Lady Mayoress on the occasion of Athlone Town winning the Free State Junior Cup in soccer. My uncle was mascot for the team. My uncle’s name, the event at the Mansion House and the chocolates is referenced in A History of Athlone Town F.C. The First 100 years by Frank Lynch,(1991 pages 140-144). The book is signed by the author. My uncle emigrated to England in the 1950’s. My grandmother kept the chocolate box as a precious souvenir. My mother continued to guard the box after my grandmother died. My mother died in 2015 and I inherited the chocolate box and will ensure it is passed to the next generation. It is over 80 years old now. I often wonder is this the oldest chocolate box in Ireland? The box is dated on the front Dublin 1932/1933 "
