Cookery Apron, Book, Shield & Sash

"This is my collection of items from the National Bread Baking Competition in 1968, including a shield, sash, apron and cookery book. The National Final of the schools bread baking competition was held in the Abbey Theatre in Dublin on December 8th, 1968. Longford won first place, Galway second and Waterford came third. All contestants were given an electric hair dryer and a cheque to cover costs as the event was sponsored by the G.E.C (E.S.B)"
