Original Poster advertising the Bailey Company Travelling Theatre Show

"For centuries up until the 1960’s both my Mother’s and Father’s families made their living as traveling entertainers. These shows were known as Fit-up shows and toured the island of Ireland, performing variety and drama in every town and village in the country. This poster is from 1947/48 and the “Gaby” featuring was my Grandfather. Unfortunately, first cinema and later television affected their livelihood. They were forced to retire in 1963 when I was three years old, making me the last of my family to have been on the road."
