Ticket for inaugural Knock Airport flight in 1985

"I am originally from Co. Mayo and travelled on the inaugural flight from Knock Airport to Rome 32 years ago. I guard my framed air ticket for the flight, which was autographed by the late Monsignor Horan who pioneered the airport's development. The project was a controversial one at the time and, for many, pitted the Dublin establishment against rural Ireland. The airport has in the intervening years proven to be a key and successful infrastructural project despite the naysayers at the time of construction. "
