The First Molly Bloom's Ball, Shelbourne Hotel, 23rd September 1988.
"This Ball was a fundraiser for the renovation of the proposed James Joyce Centre at 35 North Great George's Street, Dublin. Chairperson of the event was Désirée Sullivan; Secretary, Nora Owens and Treasurer, Joyce Marie Joyce, grand-niece-in-law of James and married to my older brother, Bob. Special guests were Mrs. Eileen O'Casey, widow of playwright Seán -and of course, Joyce super-enthusiast, Senator David Norris. (Photo' shows our eldest, Mark, standing beside Joyce statue in North Earl Street ."
