POWDERBUBBLE flyers
"POWDERBUBBLE was born out of a desire to transform the club scene in Dublin in the 1990s. It ran for just 12 months, every month, 1996-1997. It was a giant, dress-up, poly-sexual party, housed in the Red Box on Harcourt Street. Born from the notion of the transformative power of dressing up and having fun, it spanned social strata, ages, sexuality and gender, with people attending (from all over the country) in ever more creative and outlandish costumes that they would spend the month creating. POWDERBUBBLE rode on the crest of change in Ireland — in music, in dancing, and in the coming together of people of all kinds — and has reached a kind of mythical status for anyone who attended or queued outside in basically a feather and a piece of silver string. It also had the best flyers ever made, which are now the only thing that remains. That and the glitter still embedded in your forehead."
