School Strap

""This old leather strap was given to me by a retired school teacher. It is incredibly thick and was used to slap schoolchildren. Me and my brothers often talk about the wallopings we witnessed when we were children in school and this object brings back many bad memories. I had a terrible fear of going to school as a result of this object and I will never forget those times. There were a number of friends who were told that we would never amount to anything but we all became accomplished tradesmen and have thankfully led full & happy lives.""
