Sock Knitting Machine

"This machine was last used about 70yrs ago by the grandmother of the lady who contacted me. This lady who is now 80 remembers her grandmother knitting socks for the local football teams and for all the neighbours. Sock knitting machines were used extensively during World War 1 to knit socks for soldiers to help prevent trench foot. I now own 4 of these machines which are all working and knitting socks again. The third photograph is the note book kept by the lady showing orders, sizes and prices."
