Pre-naming voyage on Irish Ferries ship 'Ulysses' on 16/3/2001.
"Through my older brother, Bob, both of us being grandnephews of James, author of the iconic book Ulysses - and Bob and his wife, Joyce Marie, being so involved with promotion of the James Joyce story, I received an invitation to be a guest on board the Ulysses car ferry sailing from Dublin to Holyhead. This was a demonstration sailing for the purpose of promoting it to hundreds of travel interests in Great Britain and occurred prior to its official naming. The electronic key was for the use of the James Joyce suite and a niece of mine, Christine, was similarly accommodated and involved us doing readings in period costume for the entertainment of the British guests who embarked at Holyhead.
