Evening Herald article on missing pet
"I was 2 and a half years old when my pet dog, a black & white cocker named Kerry, escaped from the vetinerary hospital in Ballsbridge. That was 18th Feb 1965. My Dad drove to Dublin after work in the evenings to search for him, wrote to RTE (see reply from Frank Hall) & placed ads in the national papers offering a reward of £20 for his safe return. He received letters & phonecalls from wellwishers all over Ireland. Thanks in no small part to the Evening Herald’s coverage of the story, Kerry was found a month later in Blanchardstown, tired, hungry & nervy but otherwise ok. There was great excitement when he came home & this photo marking the occasion, was printed on the front page of the Evening Herald of Saturday March 20th,1965"
