The Pink Lady

"My mother bought the Pink Lady at a Sale of Work in the Mansion house in the 50's. She sat on top of the piano and her eyes seemed to follow me around the room as a child. Years later my mother tried to clean her face but made a mess of it, so I took off her head and put it in a pressure cooker I'd been given as a present and left it in the boot of our car to take her to the Dolls hospital. Unfortunately someone stole the pressure cooker head and all but after a long search I found another head for her. My mother never noticed the difference except this one didn't have feather eye lashes. I never liked her but when she lost her head I felt sorry for her."
