Photos of Schoolboy's and Schoolgirl's exhibition - July 1953 - Mansion House Dublin

"The Phantom was an iconic drawn adventure character in the Sunday Independent. My father was a stage magician in the late '40s and early 50's and he played the Phantom at the Mansion House schoolboys and schoolgirls exhibition. There are more pictures and newspaper clippings of "The Great Mur-Ray" on the facebook page I created from the scrapbook my mother kept. This includes pictures of him being blindfolded by the Lord Mayor of Dublin and then driving a motorboat from Butt Bridge to Island Bridge and back. My father died in 1960."
