Kickham Tree preserved as carved Harp

"Tom Reid (deceased Oct 2014) was originally a Mullinahone man who had exceptional creative talents. Perhaps the best known Mullinahone man in history is Charles Kickham for his patriotism and writing. Over a century after the death of Kickham, the famous tree that Kickham was known to walk to in order to let his creativity flow, fell during a storm in 1993. Tom Reid worked with South Tipperary County Council and he was fortunate to obtain a piece of this tree. He used his skills to carve this harp from that piece of wood to allow a memory to remain of both the tree and its connection to the famous patriot and author. Now the Kickham Tree continues on in a new form. "
