'World's Greatest Son' Trophy
"About 1957, my Dad made a trip from Limerick all along the west coast of Ireland right up to Donegal. We didn’t know where he went but I guess my mum did. When he came back, he had this little souvenir from Bundoran for me, his youngest child. I’ve had it now for 60 years, moving from tops of televisions to sideboards to corners. My father’s name was Gerry Clancy who was the last of the medieval guild of the Abbey Fishermen and who participated in the famous ‘Battle of the Tail Race’ at Ardnacrusha dam in the 1930s. "
