Harry Kernoff Woodcut
"I bought in this in the 1970s in a small antiques shop along the quays beside the Four Courts, now sadly gone. I am a big fan of James Connolly and it has held pride on place on my wall since then. Connolly stood for the national freedom, socialism and international working-class solidarity, among other things, all of which strongly resonate with me. It came to my attention over the years that the artist of the print is Harry Kernoff, a very well known Irish artist. It might be worth a few quid but I think James Connolly would turn in his grave if I sold it!"
