Saving stamps circa 1955

"This was my post office savings booklet from when I was eight. I am now 68. And I've kept it in my possession ever since. I think it tells a great story of yesteryear. Sixpence was a lot of money in the nineteen fifties to a child and as a result we were encouraged to save these. ( I have covered my name and address in the second picture)"
