Irish Brigade World War 1 Service Medals

"These medals are symbolic of the many thousands of Irish people who went to join the fight against tyranny in World War 1, remembering that at the time, Ireland was part of the United Kingdom. In the case of these medals, the person was a policeman in Cork who was killed in action at Ypres, Belgium in October 1917. These brave Irishmen deserve to be remembered alongside all other Irish people who die in wars and uprisings."
