"This is a photo of my mother, Nora Byrne(nee Costello),from Cabra with a Japanese china set, which she won at a sports day in 1936, on a day trip to Gormanstown.She won it for the 3 legged race. It has survived both her family and mine, itself a minor miracle. The milk jug was smashed during a house break in 2000. The same set can be seen in Padraig Pearse's house in Rathfarnam. Perhaps he was athletic also!"
