"JazzJazzJazz Festival Memorabilia including a pint glass with the festival logo printed on it, the festival programmes and a festival poster with Chuck Berry etc. Right on the field opposite the thatched pub, we had a festival. It was a big sociological event, nationally. It grew quite quickly. It was the first of the ‘tented village’ concept. The Jazz, Blues & Ragtime Festival began in July 1979 featuring Acker Bilk, Ronnie Scott Quartet etc. A weekend ticket was £6.00."
