Poster for Cultural Relations Committee of Ireland
"This poster for the Cultural Relations Committee of Ireland was designed by Pat Scott. I bought it at an auction and it was misattributed in the catalogue, and then a friend of mind identified it. I mentioned it to another friend who was very close to Pat and it transpired that he himself did not have a copy. Before he died in 2014, Pat Scott gave me the colour separation which he did in the 60s. He was a friend of a friend, and I've always loved his work. It was printed for the Cultural Relations Committee of Ireland, so that might have been prior to Bord Fáilte. It was printed by Hely’s in Dublin. The poster was borrowed from me by IMMA for a retrospective exhibition of Pat Scott a couple of years ago. Very few of them survived because the paper quality wasn’t good. "
