Crannac chairs

"These chairs were manufactured in the 1960s by Crannac Furniture, Navan, formerly John Hogg & Co. An RCA graduate, Arthur Edwards, was one of a number of design consultants invited to Ireland by An Coras Trachtála in the 1960s, in its efforts to improve the standard of Irish design for the export market. Edwards designed contemporary furniture that was influenced by Scandinavian design and in turn influenced Irish furniture production. The chairs, along with a three piece suite of the Model C range and dining room furniture were purchased by my parents when they built their first home in the 1960s. "
